S.H.U. Academy Preschool is a dynamic learning environment dedicated to nurturing the whole child. We cultivate natural curiosity, encourage exploration, and support holistic development—socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Our mission is to provide a vibrant educational foundation that empowers each child to discover their passions and reach their unlimited potential.
In addition to our core curriculum, we offer optional language programs to enrich communication skills and foster a deeper understanding of diverse cultures, preparing children to thrive in an increasingly global community.
Our Philosophy
We believe that childhood is a time to explore, discover, and grow, and that every child learns best when education is hands-on, engaging, and respectful of their individual growth. Guided by the California Preschool Learning Foundations, our teachers create experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence. With programs for children 18 months to 5 years, we are committed to nurturing each child’s potential in a caring and inspiring environment.
Curriculum
Shu Academy’s award-winning curriculum is research-based and STEAM-focused. Guided by the California Preschool Learning Foundations, our teachers design and adapt programs to meet the unique needs of each child. As early childhood educators, we recognize that every child is different, so our curriculum is tailored through careful assessment and observation, supporting growth across all domains of development.
Shu Academy is proud to be a part of San Mateo County Quality Counts program. As a part of San Mateo County Quality Counts program, Shu Academy is committed to the quality of care and education it provides, therefore, it goes above and beyond what is required to be a licensed childcare program in California.
