Tinkering Program

Introduction

Tinkering is a computational thinking approach as children develop their critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. It encourages children to use their hands, senses, tools, and skills to investigate, understand, and even change the traditional ways to make things work. It is the foundation to a more complex thinking, project making, technology and engineering.

At Shu Academy, our tinkering projects are mostly centered in making things from scratch, and our children will take time to learn, create, keep trying, and present. Children also get to learn how to use different tools safely. The detailed summary of each Tinkering project will be sent out in our school weekly class activities recap.
